DIY bride

Because there can only be one wedding day for me, I tried to put as many personal touches as what the short preparation time allowed.

We went for the whimsical/storybook/garden-ish theme since we had our wedding at noon :)

Sharing some of the DIY stuff for all the future DIY brides out there. :))

First stop are the buttonaires,

I cut felt cloth leaves and added some stitches in contrasting pink color. I fastened them together with some flower wire and added small paper flowers on top :)

Our invitation was inspired by a storybook hence the trifold print design

Table numbers were 8" paper mache numbers that I painted pink

Souvenir programmes that doubles as a fan were given to the guests during the ceremony. Printed the front design from www.weddingchicks.com and made the programme part using MS word. The Bride and Groom signs came from weddingchicks' free printables as well :)

Got the heart frame guestbook idea in Pinterest and made signs and menu cards with pink chevron and swirls.

Made table number signs with buntings and birds design and put them in a corkboard placed near the entrance of the reception venue.

The wedding "madlibs" have chevron top border as well with a center logo made by my dear friend :)

and lastly, made a last minute gift corner "Happily Ever After" sign and decorated it with our pictures hung on a string using wooden clips :))

was about to use paper pompoms and paper lanterns but the venue didnt allow us to hang anything on the ceiling. We also brought our own straws to match the whole set-up :)

All in all, I think we made a pretty good job given the short amount of preparation time (that we did simultaneously while we both have our jobs at that time) :p hehe

We also want to thank everyone who helped out (and stressed out) with us, specially our families :)

Goodluck to all the other DIY brides out there. Don't forget to enjoy every minute of it. :)
